One of my favorite classes in college was a landscape architecture course with a professor who would today be described as “eccentric.” A few late mornings each week, he stood in front of a darkened theatre, seemingly rambling on, telling stories, showing the occasional slide, and teaching us how to see the world around us in a new way.

Perhaps his influence is why I still find visual landscapes so appealing. In some ways, it is my favorite photographic subject, even though it will never attract the audience of other styles. I’ve separated this gallery into three sections, Nature, Buildings, and Street Art, which often overlap.
